Sonnenmatt Holiday Flat – enjoy the countryside views, unwind, ideal for a ‘digital detox’ A warm welcome to the countryside! Here, foxes and hares say goodnight to one another (sometimes quite literally). Your accommodation is in Fröhnd, a hamlet of Dachsberg, with just 15 houses. From your terrace, you’ll look out over the large “Sonnenmatt” meadow and the neighbouring woodland. With a bit of luck, you’ll be able to see the fenced-in cows or horses grazing from your breakfast table. Key details about the flat: • Large living room with open-plan kitchen • Bedroom with a queen-size bed • Small, cosy bathroom (no natural light) • Covered, private terrace with access to the garden • Nearest supermarket: 15 minutes’ drive away • Wi-Fi, TV, no mobile phone reception! That’s right: you’ll have little to no mobile signal here. That’s why the flat is ideal for you if you really want to ‘switch off’. Don’t worry: we still have good fibre-optic Wi-Fi. An active holiday close to nature with walking and cycling? Or a few quiet days far away from the stresses of everyday life? Both – or anything in between – are possible here. Accommodation highlights: • Secluded location “behind the house”, views of nature • Woodland and walking trails on your doorstep • When the weather’s warmer: table tennis table, sun loungers, barbecue, the chirping of crickets, Hierholzer Weiher (15-minute walk), Klosterweiher (1 hour 15 minutes’ walk) • When it’s colder: a bench by the stove, Black Forest crime novels, board games • A sparkling starry sky Great places to visit, depending on the season (by car): • Hiking in the ‘Southern Black Forest Nature Park’ • Swimming and water sports at Schluchsee and Titisee • Ski lifts and cross-country trails in Ibach, Menzenschwand and Bernau, Feldberg ski resort • The cathedral town of St. Blasien • Freiburg or Basel (1.5 hours away) Your hosts are Martin and Sabine.
